Stefan Bastholm Andrade is a senior researcher specializing in social stratification and inequality. He focuses on developing new methods to analyze social mobility and people's life courses, including choices related to education, occupation, and family formation. In his recent work, Stefan developed a method based on machine learning algorithms for analyzing people's life stories. By translating words into numbers, his method uncovers new explanations for why we behave the way we do. Stefan's work has been published in journals such as the American Journal of Sociology,  the British Journal of Sociology, Social Forces, and Sociological Science.
