This report presents the results of the second round of data collection among pupils in a comprehensive assessment of the reform of primary and lower secondary schools, which was launched by the former Danish Ministry of Children and Education (now the Ministry of Children, Education and Gender Equality) in 2013. The report uses questionnaire responses collected from 16,293 pupils from year 5, year 7 and year 9, respectively, from 185 schools. The report describes how Danish school pupils experienced their school day in spring 2015, focusing on eight themes: Overall wellbeing at school, academic interest in school, support from family, teacher-pupil relationships, characteristics of teaching, clear and concise lesson goals, physical activities as well as outdoor activities during school. In addition to these eight themes, the report especially focuses on the link between the pupil’s overall wellbeing at school and their academic interest, their level of physical activity during school hours and after school and, finally, how the pupils have used the schools’ homework-help activities and extra teaching offers.
