This is the seventh and final report from the “Dialogue group - Preventive measures as an alternative to child placement” project. The report gathers results and experience from the previous sub-reports, each describing measures for different target groups between the ages of 0-22.
Despite the great age span in the measures, the report shows a common focus on helping the vulnerable children and young people to strengthen relations to their families and to form networks.
The purpose of the dialogue project was to generate and organise knowledge about the municipalities’ practice, experience and results with regard to preventive work with vulnerable children and young people. Together the seven reports make up a catalogue of examples of good practice, and this may provide a better foundation for municipalities in Denmark to provide relevant support and help to vulnerable children and young people.
The project has been commissioned by the National Board of Social Services and is being conducted by SFI collaboratively with Cowi A/S.
